For the past 67 years Wells Nursery has been propagating and growing many unique trees, many of which are exclusive Wells Nursery introductions. With over 150 acres in production, we continue to supply the nursery industry with our carefully selected grafted conifers. Trees grown in Mount Vernon, WA are shipped to many areas in the northwest, mid-west, and eastern United States. We attribute our success to careful plant selection, remarkable discoveries, and the perfect climate for growing our conifers.

Why is our region so perfect?
Here in the beautiful Skagit Valley of Western Washington tulips are not the only plants that grow well. Ideal growing conditions exist for growing our remarkable grafted conifers. We are blessed with many days of misty conditions. Our rainfall, which seems like everyday, averages about 38 inches per year, far less than Seattle or Vancouver, B.C. During the middle of the year temperatures in the high 60's are normal. Mild winters, lows in the 20's, combined with temperate summers provide us with a great climate for conifer growing.
